August 17th-19th, Paragon Dressage

It was a good weekend for Madeline Backus & P.S. Sir Galahad and Laura Backus & P.S. May's Patriot at Paragon Dressage August 17-19. 

Madeline's goal was to obtain the scores at 2^nd level toward her USDF Bronze Medal which she did in fine fashion. Out of 7 classes, they hung 6 blue and 1 red ribbons on "Fuzzy’s" stall and qualified for RMDS and USDF Region V Championships. Madeline also won the 18 & under Dressage Seat Equitation class by an impressive margin awarded by a 4-judge panel! After conquering 2^nd level, they tried their hand at 3^rd level - the first time the pair have ridden 3^rd level together - and they received their first 3^rd level score toward their USDF Bronze Medal! Way to go Madeline & Fuzzy.

Laura also qualified for RMDS and USDF Area V Championships at 4^th level. I guess those eventers can ride dressage!
