Congratulation to Madeline Backus & PS Arianna on a strong finish at Jersey Fresh

After dressage, Madeline and Ari were in the bottom half but made it up in the jumping phases. Cross-country day was a scary on - the course was so tough that high percentages in each class did not finish but Madeline and Ari got around clean with just a few time penalties. After a clean and clear show jumping round, they finished 13th in their first CCI*** so has that Rolex qualifier behind them, plus Madeline was awarded the highest placing Young Rider and best turnout at jogs. Laura wrote on Facebook “Big congrats to Madeline Backus and Arianna. They finished 13th overall at a very difficult and competitive jersey fresh cci***. They also received the young rider award AND the best turn out. Pony club does pay off!! Thanks so much to Missy Ransehousen and Sara Benton and Jack Ganone. Jersey fresh may be my favorite event. So many wonderful things.” and Madeline posted “So excited to have completed our first CCI3* at Jersey Freshl! Ari and I also won the best turned out award for jog outs, and the 3* young rider award! I wouldn't have been able to do it without the wonderful support team I have.
