June 27th - 29th Abbe Ranch Horse Trials

Pendragon was very well represented at Abbe Ranch this year with 12 competitors in 5 levels (7 divisions).

Madeline Backus & P.S. Arianna finished 1st in the IP division (the highest level offered at this competition).

Nicole Musmanno & Slewth tackled the Open Training division and finished 6th.

Open Novice A had two strong PSEC riders: Emma Ciafone & Cady O’Daly Gabriel who finished 1st and were1st ONAYR, Best Dressage score of the show, and a few more I'll have to investigate.

Also in ONA were Grace Simpson & Model Image in their first horse trials together and they came home with the 5th place ribbon.

Rhonda Roberts & Dan’s Bravado, who were in the Open Novice B division, had a rail in show jumping that moved them down to finish 9th.

Melinda Hofmeister & Ashes West were also in the ONB division and just 1 stop on x-c dropped them to 13th.

Noa Crowley & P.S. Irish Treasure in only their 3rd horse trials together finished 3rd in the Open Beginner Novice A division.

Rachel Brandes & Toadally Sacred, also in the OBNA division, finished in 13th place.

In the Open Beginner Novice B division, Cora Severs & Poncho had a good show finishing 3rd; Ava Severs riding Twizzle liked one of the higher Novice fences so much she took it instead of the BN fence. They did a beautiful job over it but, unfortunately, it resulted in their eliminatiom.

Marilyn Simpson & O.K. To Dream in their first event since last year, took the blue ribbon in the Open Intro division.

Sophie Wiedenhues and her new horse, Practical Magic III, finished a strong 7th in the Open Intro division.

A pretty good weekend overall, I'd say.
