July 17th - 20th NAJYRC

Well, it just wasn't Madeline and Ari’s year at Young Riders. The judges didn't appreciate them in the dressage ring and they had an uncharacteristic run out on xc. It was a championship course, fair and appropriate for the level and it caused many issues. Even with the issues they faced, they did finish but way down in the standings. Still, with Madeline's finish, she helped her Area IX/VII combined team finish 6th (there were only 3 members on this team so if any had not completed, their team would have been disqualified). Madeline is handling the disappointment of her personal performance with her usual grace and she is grateful for coming home healthy and sound. Many couldn't say that by the end of the competition unfortunately.
