September 19th - 22nd, USDF & RMDS Dressage Show & Championships
This report on the USDF Dressage Championships is another pretty amazing story.
Emma Ciafone and Gabe first won the USDF Training Level junior Championships class on 9/20 (the first day of competition) with an amazing score of 71.133! The next day, in their Dressage Seat Equitation class, they received a score of (are you sitting down?) 96.7% (that is out of 100 folks!!). Her nearest competitor received a 71%. The judge’s comment was "Your position is impeccable". They may never let an eventer enter that class again!! Then they went on to compete in their third class of the weekend and won that too. On the last day, they rode in their last class, which was the RMDS Training Level Junior Championship class and, yep, you guessed it. They won that one, too. They are the USDF and RMDS Training Level Junior Champions AND brought home two additional first place honors. Can’t get any better than that!
We don’t want to leave Laura and Patriot out of the picture. They competed in four Prix St George classes and had a very good weekend as well finishing with two 3rd places and two 5th places and three scores over 60%. What a great weekend!
