Pendragon Stud Equestrian Center has camps planned for this year! I hope you will put the dates on your calendar and let me know of your interest so I can get you on the list before they sell out. I have posted more detailed information below. I will be sending email updates as well. Please email us if you're interested in attending our Horse Camps and I will send you our Application.

TINT TOTS/JUNIOR HORSEMANSHIP CAMPS

The camps are 6 half day sessions designed for the young equestrian hopeful. At each session, campers will be taught a horsemanship skill, they will practice the skill, be tested on the skill (this is a positive testing environment--"show us what you have learned" type of testing ) then given a certificate of completion for that skill. These are beginner horsemanship skills such as : Haltering and Leading, Grooming, Basic Equine First Aid, Basic Equine Nutrition, Basic Equine Safety just to name a few. There is no riding at this camp.As with all PSEC camps, this camp is lead by certified instructors with many years of equine experience. Along witht the skills learning, there will also be fun activities and crafts. There is a limit of 10 campers for the Tiny Tots/ JR camps. Camps start promptly at 8:30 and campers are to picked up at 12:30

The cost of the 6 sessions is $350.00. A la carte is $75 per session. Preference will be given to campers that sign up for the complete camp if camp fills. Please email cotreehugr@gamil.com with questions or application. 

 

 

PSEC INTERMEDIATE HORSEMANSHIP CAMP

 

Get ready for some fun at our Horsemanship Camp! The first of its kind at Pendragon, this unmounted camp is for 10 to 15 year old horse owners or riders who would love to improve their horse care skills or the enthusiast who may need to feel more comfortable on the ground with horses before getting in the saddle. This camp will focus on horse husbandry, feeding/nutrition, trailering safety, first aid for your horse and more.

 

No overnight stay is required. Campers need to be at PSEC no later than 7:30 a.m. as camp activities start at that time and continue throughout the day until 5 p.m .  THIS IS A HORSEMANSHIP ONLY CAMP...THERE WILL BE NO RIDING. Campers will learn grooming, braiding, feeding, basic first aid skills as well as many other skills needed in the care of our equine friends. The cost of this camp is $120.00 (does not include lunch; please bring your own lunch) - Your own horse is not required. Maximum participants 10/Min 5. Pre-registration with payment is required. This camp is informative and FUN so call or email today to sign up. Please have your child wear closed-toed shoes or boots with a heel, bring sunscreen, a hat, lunch, snacks and a water bottle.

 

PSEC TINY RIDERS CAMP 

 

This half-day camp is for our smallest pony enthusiasts, ages 3 - 5 years. Have a horse crazy kiddo? Looking for a parents’ day out where you can grab a coffee or run to Costco while your child is experiencing time in the outdoors in a safe, fun-filled environment? This is your camp!

 

Reserved only for our littlest campers, this camp is a fun, half-day adventure that will teach your kiddos how to be safe around horses, how to groom our sweet school pony, and give them the experience of being on a pony with a pony ride!

 

Camp begins at 9 am and ends at 12:00 noon. Cost is $60.00 per child. Pre-registration with payment is required. Each camper will come home with a love for horses, an equestrian-related craft activity and a big smile. Please have your child wear closed-toed shoes or boots with a heel, bring sunscreen, a hat, lunch, snacks and a water bottle. Max10/Min5

 

PSEC LEVEL 1  DAY CAMPS  

 

This is a fun experience for your child while you are at work or having lunch with a friend. You can take a break while your child is learning to ride and care for horses in a safe, qualified environment. We have over 30 years of CERTIFIED teaching experience. Six to sixteen-year-old enthusiasts may join us on any one or all three of the day camps.

 

The camps run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Each camper will ride  twice each day as well as participate in horse related educational and fun activities. We have wonderful school horses. Cost is $150.00 per session, excluding lunch (please bring your own lunch). Pre-registration with payment is required. Each camp is limited to 6 campers. (These camps fill up fast, so get your entries in early) Please have your child wear closed-toed shoes or boots with a heel, bring sunscreen, a hat, lunch, snacks and a water bottle.

 

PSEC LEVEL 2 DAY CAMPS

This is the next step up form LevEl 1 camps. Riders must be able to walk and trot on their own. We have limited school horses but encourage riders to bring the horse that they normally ride if possible. Riders will work on skills to move them towards competing in eventing an dressage. Jumping is NOT required. Riders will ride  twice each day as well as participate in horse related educational and fun activities.  Cost is $150.00 per session, excluding lunch (please bring your own lunch). Pre-registration with payment is required. Each camp is limited to 8 campers. (These camps fill up fast, so get your entries in early) Please have your child wear closed-toed shoes or boots with a heel, bring sunscreen, a hat, lunch, snacks and a water bottle.

 

 

PSEC INTERMEDIATE CAMP 

 

This is a two-day long camp for riders ages 11 - 18, of all abilities and is the next step in equestrian education. This is a great camp to improve your riding skills or just to have fun. Students will further their knowledge in areas of dressage, jumping, showing and horse health care. No overnight stay is required but can be accommodated.

 

Campers need to be at PSEC no later than 7:30 a.m. as camp activities start at that time and continue throughout the day until 5 p.m with two mounted lessons as well as unmounted instruction. The cost of this camp is $350.00 (does not include lunch; please bring your own lunch) stabling is included but bring your own shavings please.

 

Maximum participants 8/Min 5. Pre-registration with payment is required. This camp is informative and FUN. Hone up your skills in a relaxed but invigorating atmosphere, one that is "outside the box" of the usual training program in that you have the opportunity to spend two days with your horse (or ours) learning new things and perfecting old ones.

 

PSEC EVENTING CAMP 

JR Camp 18 and Under

SR camp 19 and older

 

This three day long camp is for riders with some eventing experience ages 15 through adult interested in the next step in education of the sport of eventing, culminating in competing at an USEA regonised competition with coaching included. Students will have mounted lessons and further their knowledge in areas of dressage, jumping and showing, as well as unmounted sessions on trailering safety, bandaging, lunging, equine nutrition, equine maintenance and/or horse health care. No overnight stay is required but can be accommodated for if interested.

 

Campers and their horses need to be at PSEC no later than 7:30 a.m. as camp activities start at that time and continue throughout the day until 5 p.m. The cost of this camp is $450.00 (does not include meals; please bring your own food) and includes stabling but not shavings.. Maximum participants 8/Min 5. Pre-registration with $100.00 deposit required. The deposit is non-refundable if we can’t fill the spot. This camp is informative and FUN. Hone up your skills in a relaxed but invigorating atmosphere, one that is "outside the box" of the usual training program in that you have the opportunity to spend three days with your horse learning new things and perfecting old ones.
